Out of all the books in the world, the best stories
can be found between the pages of a passport.
About my blog
"Every Journey Begins with Just a Single Step"
After years of mishaps, travel misadventures, and family and friends, alike, telling me that I NEED to start writing a blog, here I am, in all my ‘disastrous glory’ writing my first blog. I am sitting in the Casavana Cuban Cuisine bar at the Ft. Lauderdale airport. I am experiencing a 10 hour lay-over. My destination, Montanita, Ecuador. All I have with me is my passport, a backpack that houses my laptop, a pair of swimming trunks, a t-shirt, and 30 dollars in my pocket. Let’s see what kind of trouble I can get into…
Until recently, I was not even sure what a “blog” is, or “blogging,” or for that matter who or what a “blogger” is. After doing a little research, I learned that a blog is simply an online journal where a writer(s) display information on a particular topic or niche that they have experience or insight into. The purpose is to share secrets, tips, or information with like-minded readers around the globe. Trust assured; my blog will be providing absolutely NONE of those benefits. If anything, my blog will be the opposite of all those things. I am going to write for the sake of simply writing. And hopefully I can entertain you along the way. But this travel blog will provide zero helpful travel tips.
I have learned most bloggers write in real time. While I am writing this post in real time, that will not all ways be the case. I will bounce around years and continents and then back to the present with no real chronical order.
With all that being said, thanks for reading and enjoy my passport misadventures!
